The Sports Council will launch in September the School Sports Program for the 2016/17 school year, in collaboration with schools, sports clubs Totana and the Directorate General of Sports in the Region of Murcia.

The sports that includes this program are Chess, Athletics, Badminton, Basketball, Handball, cross country, soccer, Playing Athletics, Multisport, Orienteering, Petanque, Table Tennis and Volleyball.

Throughout the school year, the Department of Sports convene the Local Phase School Sports of all these different sports, part of the Championship Sports Promotion of the Region of Murcia organized by the Directorate General Sports Murcia.

Participation in this program is free, and also the highest ranked school in the different local stages will have the opportunity to participate in regional phases convened by the Autonomous Community.

School Sports program is intended for school children aged between 8 and 18 years, corresponding to the youngest categories, juvenile, infant, cadet and youth, both male and female form.

Registration for all activities carried out by teachers and physical education teachers from different schools in the locality.
