Maria Isabel Rubio de la Peña, English teacher, 46 year-old mother of two children, will replace José María Sánchez Pascual as a councilor of the Municipal Corporation, belonging to the Municipal People's Party, at the next regular municipal council of Totana.
The General Secretary of the City Council has already received the minutes of the new mayor of the Central Electoral Board.
Rubio de la Peña was ranked number 11 on the application of PP in the municipal elections of May 2015 and will take office after the resignation of Josefa Maria Sanchez Mendez and Telesforo Canovas Lopez, who occupied the ninth positions and tenth, respectively, of this training.
Councilman Municipal People, José María Sánchez Pascual, resigned late last April "for personal reasons" and waived his record of mayor in the municipal corporation that now takes Maria Isabel Rubio, who joined public activity for the first time.
Sánchez Pascual was in opposition since last June that started the new legislature, which are part of the eight aldermen of the PP and the only Citizen-Party of the Citizenship.
The Municipal Corporation of Totana is composed of 21 councilors, of which 6 are win-Totana Izquierda Unida, 6 Socialist Party and Popular Party 8 1 C's-Party of Citizenship.
