The Municipal School Board met yesterday with extraordinary character, in order to make a formal proposal to the Ministry of Education on the calendar for next school year 2016/2017 in each of the teachings, as well as dates with days schooldays.
According to sources from the Department of Education, this measure should be referred to the Autonomous Community before April 30 and will be determined by the Council resolution giving the green light or not this proposed timetable.
The proposal reflects the beginning of the school year would be on September 8 in the case of the Education and Primary, and on September 14 in Compulsory Secondary Education (ESO) and Baccalaureate;
and would end on 23 June in the first case, and 21 of the same month in the second.
In addition, vocational training would begin on September 20 and Adult Education would the Sept. 14, ending both on June 21.
As for school days, the festivities pattern different teachings are as follows: 2nd cycle and Primary Education (28 November 2016);
ESO, Upper Secondary and Adult Education, Vocational Training and Official Language School (January 30, 2017).
Holidays local character are considered unfit to certain labor effects for each municipality, so that in the case of Totana day December 10, 2016 and January 7, 2017 will be, but this year both fall on a Saturday.
Also other days not schooldays during the course 2016/2017 will be on October 31;
5, 7 and 9 December;
December 23th;
and 17 and 18 April.
