Totana Socialist Youth of today April 14 celebrated the 85th anniversary of the beginning of the republican period in Spain;
in addition also it commemorates the 110th anniversary of the republican values of Socialist Youth of Spain.
Socialist Youth of Totana today celebrates the anniversary of the Republic, a day like today in Totana 85 years ago the Second Republic was proclaimed thus initiating a period of freedom and democracy that had not experienced so far in our people.
Therefore YS still opt for the republic as a state model because it is the most representative way to run a country.
Pedro Antonio Martinez Republic is liberty, equality and fraternity, values that even today Totana Socialist Youth have defended as ours.
In the same way 110 years ago launched a major and oldest proclamations of Socialist Youth of Spain (JSE) is the claim of the republic as a state model and, interestingly, was an April 14, 1906, just 25 years before the proclamation of the Second Republic, when it was founded as a state organization.
Therefore, on a day like today as I pointed out to the young people Socialists, launched the campaign "110 years of republican values".
On this day YS recalls the "achievements of the past, such as those obtained during the Second Republic which was infamously collapsed with a coup that dragged us into a fratricidal war and subsequently to a particularly cruel and bloody dictatorship".
In addition, the Secretary General, "the republic has always been, and is, a tool against corruption, both those who steal at the expense of and citizens as those who deprive them of their voice and rights" and determines that "any ruler must be subject to the law and be elected by a citizenry before which he is responsible."
