The "Labor 2.0: Youth Guarantee" project, carried out by the Collective for Social Promotion The Candle in the Bajo Guadalentín, funded by the Autonomous Community of the Region of Murcia through the Murciano Institute of Social Action and the European Social Fund completes its first group action.

A group of 18 young people aged between 16 and 29 years unemployed and in the municipalities of Totana and Alhama de Murcia, ended last Friday March 4, 2016 a group workshop to improve their employability, which will facilitate their access to employment or consider the power to expand their knowledge making new training activities or reintegrated into the education world.

The group performance, with a total duration of 72 hours, began on February 10, 2016 and ended on March 4, 2016. It was developed in the Social Center Barrio San Roque (next to the hermitage of San Roque), where the collective The Candle has its facilities.

The main objectives of this group action, framed within the Operational Programme Youth Employment and National System of Youth Guarantee, consisted of young people acquire the personal and social skills necessary for personal growth and interpersonal relationships, as well as job search and performance of occupation, favor a positive and active attitude towards the labor market, know and correctly use the techniques and resources available for job search, acquire basic skills for handling new technologies and acquire the key competencies needed for personal and professional growth.

To this end, it has worked around three major content modules: improving their personal and social skills, techniques of active job search and key skills (mathematics and language communication).

It was given by the labor counselor of the Project and has been aimed at people experiencing particular difficulty in accessing employment.

Through this press release we want to give a special mention to the Cooperative Nursery School "Grimm's Fairy Tales" of Totana, which has provided assistance to the workshop of one of the young with children under three years, as it has allowed them the reconciliation of that training with their family life, all framed within the collaboration agreement since February 2013, Grimm Tales Children's School Soc. Coop.

The "Labor 2.0: Youth Guarantee" Project has been developing since last December 2015 by the Collective for Social Promotion The Candle in the towns of Totana, Aledo, Alhama de Murcia, Librilla and Mazarrón.

It aims to provide a space for information, training, guidance and counseling related to employment / training / education to the youth of the Bajo Guadalentín world.

It is also a resource to support social intervention that is carried with the group of young people from the Municipal Social Services Centres of the Bajo Guadalentín and specialized to existing general resources Youth Guarantee support in the area and all with a specific goal of improving the employability of participants.
