The councilors of both areas, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez and Pedro José Sánchez, have presented this measure with which they want to reduce the volume of traffic in this urban area, changing the direction of Santiago and Gómez Pellicer streets, respectively.

In this way, to access the Calle Mayor Sevilla and adjacent, from the streets Sol, General Aznar or Puente, it can no longer be done through the Plaza de la Constitución but it will be necessary to surround the temple, surrounding it, through Gómez Pellicer and Santiago streets that have changed the direction of road traffic.

These actions will also be accompanied by other actions on traffic in the urban center, where priority will be given to the use of light vehicles (mopeds, motorcycles and bicycles);

enabling seven new motorcycle parking bands in the sacristy area of the parish church, maintaining handicapped parking lots and creating more loading and unloading areas.

Those responsible explained that these measures come to respond to their commitment to citizens before the convenience of giving more space to pedestrian areas, and thus create a great axis from the College of La Milagrosa to the Convent of the Convent, being more accessible and Easy for the pedestrian.

This partial pedestrianization of the square and the modification of the traffic to access the Calle Mayor Sevilla with the aforementioned changes of direction Gómez Pellicer street in ascending direction- (corner BBVA) also entails novelties in San Juan street where it will be mandatory to turn right by the Alamo street (access Sol and Salvador Aledo streets) or Santiago (exit Cañada Zamora and San José neighborhood).
