The mayor of Totana, Juan José Cánova, s has submitted a motion to the ordinary Plenary session in October in support of the proposed alternative route for the 400 Kw High Voltage Air Line of the TIFANA ADIF traction substation, presented by the Platform affected by the Line in the councils of La Ă‘orica and Lébor.
The Plenary Session of the City Council of Totana wants to show solidarity and show its unconditional support for the Platform of People Affected by the ADIF Ă‘orica Lébor Totana High Voltage Line.
According to the motion of the Mayor's Office, as a Municipal Institution, we make our alternative layout project our own and require ADIF and the Ministry of Development to modify the current layout of the line, valuing the alternative.
In addition, a meeting is requested with those responsible for ADIF and the Ministry, in which the spokesmen of the municipal groups and representatives of the Platform would be present, to clarify the alternative project.
For years, the neighbors and owners of plots in the area of ​​La Ă‘orica and Lébor have been suffering from the proliferation of High Voltage Lines that will evacuate energy in the Totana substation or distribute from it to other points.
The last projected is the Line that would leave the Substation and feed the AVE catenary as it passes through the municipality of Totana towards Lorca-Andalucía.
As the proposal means, it is evidence that the proliferation of High Voltage Lines and towers is seriously damaging the interests of owners, inhabitants and farmers in that area who feel helpless in this situation.
The last project comes to fill a cluster of nonsense that we should not allow when there are much more viable and simple alternatives that do not harm those already affected by lines, according to the motion.
The Plenary of the Municipal Corporation has already declared itself in favor of the claims of the affected neighbors when the ADIF 400 Kw High Voltage Line project was known and now, from the Mayor's Office, “it is considered very important to provide Institutional support to the Alternative that the Affected Platform presented to ADIF and the latter, ignored so far ”.
