The Department of Sports resumed last Thursday, after several years, without holding, the meetings of the Sectorial Council of Sport, with the holding of an ordinary session in the plenary hall, in which the presentation of the new councilor was held of Sports, Agustín Gonzalo Martínez Hernández, before all the clubs and sports associations of the municipality.
Although he had already held several meetings with most of the clubs and sports entities of Totana since the mayor assigned him the delegation of this Department, the meeting served to analyze the situation of local sport and the needs of the clubs.
During the meeting, the importance of the update of the boards of directors was communicated and the diptych of the sports schools of the clubs for the new 2019/2020 season was presented.
In addition, as an improvement, it was proposed to integrate the data of all the clubs of the municipality regardless of whether they have a sports school or not, as well as link the information published on the website of the Department with the websites of the clubs so that the information have a greater promotion and social diffusion.
Next, the presentation of the new agreement that will regulate the transfer of sports facilities as well as the rights and duties of each institution was carried out.
Soon, we will proceed to the realization of the agreements that include the particularities and obligations and rights of each club and the City Council.
As highlights of the agenda, the clubs were also urged to request as soon as possible the events they intend to organize on the occasion of the patron saint festivities in honor of Santa Eulalia.
Likewise, the closing dates of facilities (November 1, Christmas and Kings) were reported.
Finally, from the Department of Sports clubs were asked to collaborate in the tests organized by this municipal department.
The councilor wanted to end the meeting by transferring to the clubs the intention of working for everyone and improving the resources and sports facilities of Totana.
He also informed those present about the steps that are being carried out by the Government team for the construction of an artificial turf field and a multipurpose track in the annex of the Juan Cayuela Soccer Field.
