The rubble of minor works, the bulky ones (furniture, mattresses and other household goods), wood and appliances are the domestic and commercial waste most deposited in the municipal ecopark by the users of Totana, as can be seen from the annual report prepared by the Department of Environment Environment and Urban Solid Waste corresponding to the year 2018.
During this exercise, 291,360 kilograms of rubble of minor works, 120.52 of bulky items such as cabinets, mattresses, doors and other furniture, 55,322 of household appliances, 88,380 of pruning and 68,864 of various woods were collected in the municipal ecopark.
In addition, 26,500 kilograms of metals, 22,360 plastics and 5,314 paper-cardboard were collected in the ecopark.
The collection of 3,940 kilograms of flat glasses, 1,539 of clothes, 2,300 liters of mineral oils and 220 of vegetable (domestic) oils, 490 of lead batteries, 294 of contaminated plastic containers, 152 of contaminated containers were also counted in the park Metallic and 150 toners.
Likewise, 94 kilograms of aerosols, 784 of button cells, 292 of fluorescent tubes and 93.50 of radiography paper were recorded.
The schedule of the municipal ecopark in the summer months, until September 15, is from 9:30 a.m. to 2:00 p.m. and from 6:00 p.m. to 9:30 p.m., Tuesday through Friday;
and on Saturdays from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
In winter, it is the same schedule but the afternoons are from 4:00 p.m. to 7:30 p.m.
The Department of Environment shows its satisfaction with the levels of collection and recycling that have been carried out in the municipality in recent years through this municipal service, which are becoming increasingly high progressively;
and has encouraged users to continue with this citizen awareness to maintain and exceed the rates of previous years.
