Responsible for the Spanish Red Cross in Totana and municipal technicians of the Center for Social Services of the City Council recently met in the new headquarters that this organization has in the municipality in order to assess the needs of the population and study mechanisms for future coordination and action between both entities under the collaboration agreement signed several weeks ago.
The meeting, which took place at the facilities located on Avenida Juan Carlos I, and was about a first contact in order to know the relationship of needs that the population of Totana has and that the Red Cross can provide.
The meeting was attended by eight technicians from the City of Totana and five from the Red Cross, developing for more than two hours the common objective for the four-month period September-December 2019.
During this, important issues such as the Youth Red Cross, Enrédate program, School Support program, Foster Care and Employment program have been addressed;
in which it has become clear and the commitment to start at the beginning of September.
In addition, both entities have committed to holding regular meetings to ensure compliance with the agreement and the study of new areas of collaboration.
The City of Totana and the Spanish Red Cross in this municipality signed a collaboration agreement in the middle of last June aimed at carrying out joint actions of accompaniment and social and welfare services in this town.
The previous mayor, Andrés García, and the local president of the Red Cross, Pedro Abellaneda Moya, signed this agreement, in an act held in the plenary hall, by which the Consistory committed to the cession of public spaces to develop certain activities , such as training courses, foster care, first aid, etc.
