The Mayor of Totana, Andrés García Cánovas, will hold a meeting with the Government Delegate, Francisco Jiménez, this morning around 1:00 p.m. with the aim of addressing the thefts that have taken place in the municipality's homes and he wanted to show his solidarity with the affected neighbors, since it is not only an economic issue due to the losses and deterioration that affect the homes, but also a violation of the home itself that causes feelings of frustration and impotence.
On the other hand, the Mayor wanted to remember the situation that was found when he arrived at the municipal government, since the PP, and specifically the former mayor Isabel Mª Sánchez Ruiz, was immersed in a situation of confrontation with the local police that was unable to solve and that was normalized by the current government team getting more police presence in the municipality.
Andrés García has reported that they are organized groups that are passing, as happened in the robberies that occurred in the Charca and the Espuña Residential, at which time they were in zone 14 belonging to the USECIA, Guardia Civil and Local Police.
Offenders who, to date, are being detained after being located in Alicante and thanks to the coordinated work carried out by the Security Forces and Corps.
As a result of these robberies and immediately, the former Government Delegate, Diego Conesa, was visiting the homes of those affected to know first hand any relevant information, offering their disposition and help to these families.
Finally, Andrés García stressed that work is being done in this regard, setting in motion all the necessary measures to guarantee the security of the neighbors and he wanted to thank the coordinated work being carried out by the Security Forces.
