This morning the banner of the 40th Anniversary of the Tajo-Segura Transfer was placed on the facade of the Totana Irrigation Community, as part of the extensive program prepared by the Central Union of Irrigators of the Tajo-Segura Aqueduct for this commemoration and that will be developed throughout this year.
The President of the Union of Irrigators Tajo-Segura, Lucas Jiménez recently reported that there will be many activities to be carried out in hospitals, schools and senior centers and other forums, which will explain the importance of the operation of the transfer to the southeast of Spain.
The banner placed this morning, according to Lucas Jiménez, "says a lot because it talks about the unity, the unity that we maintain Murcia, Alicante and Almeria, in the defense of something that we consider fair, such as the Tajo water, which is a basin that belongs to the country, to the Spanish State, and therefore, the inhabitants of Murcia, Alicante and Almeria have the right to be our basin, a deficit basin ".
