The Local Government Board has recently awarded the contract for the preparation of the 1st Phase of the Catalog of Rural Roads in the municipality of Totana to the commercial "COSMOS 3G, SL", with registered office in Totana, for a total amount of 18,755 euros.
This municipal body and approved last November, at the proposal of the Councilor for Finance and Contracting, Ana María Cánovas, the initiation and processing of the procedure to tender this action.
This initiative will be developed by virtue of the aid line of the Feader European Funds program managed by the Local Action Group Campoder-Association for Rural Development that affects the municipality and processed by the Autonomous Community, for an amount in this phase of 21.101 , 19 euros.
The contract has been processed through a simplified open procedure;
as well as the approval of the list of legal and economic-administrative clauses.
A total of 17 offers from specialized companies have been submitted to this tender.
The Department of Roads of the City of Totana wants to make a catalog of rural roads fundamentally to have a reliable cartographic base, adapted to new technologies that allow the Consistory to know the current status and the main characteristics of those roads that have been cataloged as roads municipalities, according to its owner, Víctor Balsas.
In addition, it is intended, with this, to have a working tool that serves to determine actions for improvement, control, information and conflict resolution of those roads that need them;
as well as the empowerment of the rural sector, agrarian and livestock, explains the mayor Balsas.
The studies and works that affect these 34 rural roads will be divided into the phases of compilation of all available information, field work (inventories and data collection), cabinet work (elaboration of files, software and documentary rest) and digitalization of the information.
