The Local Government Board has approved the proposal of the Councilor for Education, Eulalia Moreno, to give the green light to the collaboration agreement between the City of Totana and the University of Almeria for collaboration in the training of students totaneros who are studying in This teaching institution in foreign universities.
The totanero Consistory has been collaborating with different foreign universities in the training of Totana students in foreign universities.
In this way, and continuing with this line, it is agreed to regulate the provision of supplementary financial aid to the general calls for scholarships aimed at improving the study conditions of young people who travel to foreign universities.
Thus, once the name of the students of the municipality who are going to participate in the exchange is known, the City Council will collaborate with an economic amount to help the students stay at the University where they are going to study.
The aid awarded will be transferred directly to each of the selected students and the Consistory will contribute an economic amount, which will be reviewed each academic year, for each student selected per month of stay abroad for the 2018/2019 academic year, being established at 30 euros
