The plenary hall of the City of Totana hosted last Thursday, October 11, an ordinary session of the Municipal Council of Equality in order to plan, among all and all representatives of the associations and entities that comprise it, the program of events for the commemoration of the acts against the Violence of Gender of the 25 of November of this year.
This was chaired by the councilor of Equality, Eulalia Moreno, and had the assistance of municipal technicians and representatives of numerous associations of women and youth of this municipality.
The councilor of the branch explained that, in this Municipal Council of Equality of the new political course, new members have been incorporated representatives of youth organizations, "being the youth the new face of it that can bring freshness and new strategies to advance in equality in our municipality. "
Eulalia Moreno said that "we want to give visibility in Totana and especially from the field of education, through student associations, to this social and terrible scourge in this area of the youth population, a problem in which all citizens we must be alert and denounce their injustice. "
The Municipal Equality Council wants to make all citizens participate in the activities that will be scheduled for the commemoration of 25N this year;
and we intend to fight with all our energy so that Totana can do its bit in this great task that lies before us such as rejecting the inequality and deaths that occur in our society.
In the coming weeks will be announced the program of activities designed by the Department of Equality and the Municipal Council itself in order to make them reach all public opinion for the sake of their knowledge, awareness and participation.
