The mayor, Andrés García Cánovas, invites neighbors to visit, because it is "an extraordinary juncture in an irreplaceable and exclusive context"

The exhibition entitled "Totana, in centesimo anno suo", commemorative for the celebration of the Centennial of the City, will be inaugurated tomorrow, Thursday, October 4, starting at 8:30 p.m., in the municipal hall "Gregorio Cebrián ", in charge of the municipal authorities and members of the organizing committee of this event.

The municipal technicians and responsible organizers of the same are finalizing a sample that counts on the inestimable collaboration of individuals of Totana and outside this municipality, and that is coordinated by the chronicler of the city, the historian Juan Cánovas Mulero.

The sample will remain open until October 28;

and the visiting hours, from Monday to Saturday, from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, and on Sundays and holidays, from 12:00 to 2:00 pm and from 6:00 pm to 9:00 pm, respectively.

The exhibition is a journey through the creative identity of some of its notable architects throughout this century in Totana (1918-2018), whose particular works have been ceded for this occasion by family members and exceptional witnesses of the protagonists.

This ambitious project is part of the dozen of varied activities that complete the program of cultural and social events scheduled by the Department of Culture to culminate the last quarter of the Centennial of the City 1918-2018, and held between the months of September and December of this year.

In this regard, the mayor, Andrés García, has indicated that this is "a unique and exclusive opportunity to enjoy through the figure of painters and sculptors who have covered the last stage of our local history in this century."

In addition, he wants to congratulate and thank the promoters for the opportunity they offer, with this representative expositive tour, to the people of Totana to bring to the present the significance of the pictorial, photographic, sculptural and altarpiece work of these authors, some of them unknown;

and in particular, to the individuals who have assigned them for the knowledge and enjoyment of all.

The regidor García Cánovas has taken the opportunity to invite the neighbors to visit it, because it is "an extraordinary juncture in an irreplaceable and exclusive context".
