The Department of Water and Sewerage, through the Municipal Water Services, is executing during these days the repair work in two sections of sewer on the Rambla de La Santa Avenue that were causing inconvenience of unhealthy and stench to neighbors and pedestrians .
The works are consisting of the elimination of the pipe obstruction (600 mm) caused by the existence of stones in its interior and wipes that no longer allow any steps, as well as the reconstruction of a well having collapsed the existing one because it is completely deteriorated, according to the councilor of the branch, Antonia Camacho.
The emergency actions are being carried out for several days by the company "Construcciones Hermanos Palomares, SA", and have a budget of 21,175 euros.
These consist of the raised of the paving since they are being made on the sidewalk of the right margin of the La Santa ravine;
and will make possible the cutting and demolition of the section of clogged pipe and the installation of a section of 500 mm PVC pipe through the union by special elastic joints for sewer networks.
For its part, it will also build a manhole with prefabricated concrete rings, with a diameter of 120 centimeters and a height of approximately four meters that will solve the existing problems, as explained by the mayor Camacho.
