Totana City Council is implementing, with success and gradually this summer, in its municipal facilities the Electronic Administration and the use of telematic tools in the local Administration.
According to sources from the Department of Citizen Services, the aim of this project is to boost the functioning of the City Council by simplifying procedures and bringing the administration closer to citizens and businesses, through the Internet or at the City Council, reducing time and travel that are necessary to allocate to the accomplishment of many ordinary administrative procedures.
This process of implementation of the Electronic Administration, which will allow a progressive modernization and simplification of administrative processes, promoting accessibility and transparency in the various municipal public services, started at the beginning of last June.
In this way the user will be able to carry out, progressively, these steps from a personal computer, a smartphone or another type of fixed or mobile device.
So far, this system has been implemented in the different administrative and council departments under training sessions developed by municipal public employees.
After the necessary consolidation period, the portal and the electronic headquarters will be opened;
so that, then, citizens can apply online for a works license, a registration flyer, requests to open businesses or download instances, as well as manage and consult their files, among other administrative applications.
Therefore, a double objective is met: simplify procedures and reduce time and bring the City Council to citizens and businesses, as explained by the same sources of the Department of Citizen Services.
The platform consists mainly of integrated modules, registration of entries and exits, records management and electronic headquarters, to which other functions such as the profile of the contractor, the bulletin board, electronic notifications and payments will be incorporated. telematics, among others.
This initiative of adaptation to the Electronic Administration gives response and fulfillment to the Law 39/2015, of October 1, of the Common Administrative Procedure of the Public Administrations and to the Law 40/2015, of October 1, of Legal Regime of the Public Sector , respectively.
As the necessary technical and human resources were not available for its implementation, the technical services of a company specialized in the subject and of national reference were contracted for a value of 41,250 euros per year without VAT for a duration of 4 years without extension. , whose amount includes the acquisition of software, the training of municipal workers that took place in June and July, and the consulting service that is maintained.
In relation to this matter, we must remember that the City of Totana put into operation at the beginning of this term a transparency portal where it is published periodically and updated, on the website www.totana.es, all the information related to the operation and control of the public performance and of their positions of governmental representation.
