The XXVIII Festival of Music Bands "City of Totana" will be held on July 21 in the auditorium of the municipal park "Marcos Ortiz" of this town, with free admission, within the program of cultural activities of the patron saint of Santiago .
The Councilor for Culture, Eulalia Moreno, accompanied by the representative of the Musical Group of Totana, Blasi Montes, and the director of the Music Band, Pedro Martínez, presented this event.
This one will congregate to the Musical Group of Alhama and the Association of Friends of the Culture of Arvhivel (Almeria), like guests;
and the host Banda de la Agrupación Musical de Totana.
The activity, which was resumed last year after several exercises without being held, will start that day at 20:00 with the parade that will depart from the Plaza de la Constitución towards Puente, San Antonio and Juan XXIII streets towards the auditorium municipal "Marcos Ortiz".
At 9:00 p.m., the concert of the three musical groups will be held.
Each of the bands will act between 40 and 50 minutes approximately, interpreting three works in each case;
and will have the collaboration of the Conservatory "Narciso Yepes" of Lorca.
At the end of the concert, the traditional imposition of ties will be celebrated on the flags of each band and the subsequent delivery of protocolar gifts.
This year, in addition, there will be a fellowship dinner for the participating groups in the social room of the Capuchin Fathers' Convent.
