The Union Monarchy of Spain has issued a statement, addressed to the Mayor-President of the City of Totana, Andrés García Cánovas, showing his discomfort with reference to the last plenary session that took place last night at the City Hall of the City of Totana "TAPANDO the portrait image of HM the King of the Kingdom of Spain Don Felipe VI and HEAD OF STATE of all the Spaniards ".

The Regulation of operation of the city councils forces to place the effigy of the King during Plenary

Article 85.2 of the Regulation of organization, operation and legal status of local entities states that the effigy of HM The King must be placed in the hall of sessions of the municipalities.

The standard is included among the requirements for holding the municipal Plenary.

The article of the Royal Decree 2568/1986 says verbatim: "The effigy of HM The King will be placed in a preferential place of the session hall".
