The Department of Works and Services to the City will replace several alignments of road trees in the coming weeks due to the internal affection they had as a result of the effect caused by drilling caterpillars, which had generated structural weaknesses in trunk and branches, with wood rot.
According to sources in this department, this situation has forced people to practice pruning or cutting down the shade trees of streets in the urban area, in this case, in the streets of Calasparra and Abarán respectively;
and consequent replacement, in some cases, in these spaces in order to guarantee the safety of the users.
In fact, according to the same sources of the Department, recently a copy of the affected alignments suffered the breakage and subsequent detachment of a branch of large dimensions to the public road, in the area of ​​the Cross of the Mission, which forced the action of maintenance personnel of the Municipal Warehouse and the Local Police.
