Yecla hosted on Friday, May 11, the Regional Final of Athletics of School Sports, organized by the General Directorate of Sports of the Region of Murcia, where the Queen Sofia School participated with a male team and a female.
The male team was formed by German Bedia, Juan Tejedor, Alex Martinez and Jesus Corrales;
while the women's team was made up of María Crespo, Melani Danayara García, Ana Vivancos, Laura Díaz, Noemi Vargas, Virginia Díaz and Ania López.
In this competition, the participating teams had the opportunity to participate in five different modalities: long jump, 60 meters flat, 500 meters flat, shot put and relays 4x60 meters straight.
The men's team finished in 13th place in the general standings, highlighting the third place in their Jesús Corrales series, in the 60 meter flat test.
While the women's team finished in the 10th position, getting the best result Ana Vivancos, in the test of 60 meters, with a fourth place.
