Next Saturday, May 19 at 8:45 pm, the Vox Musicalis Choir, conducted by Tomeu Qetgles, will present at the Parish of Santiago el Mayor de Totana "Membra Jesu nostri", a cycle of seven cantatas for two sopranos, contralto, tenor, bass, positive organ and string ensemble, composed by baroque musician Dietrich Buxtehude (1637-1707).

Each of the seven cantatas is dedicated to a part of the crucified body of Jesus Christ: feet, knees, hands, side, chest, heart and head.

At the same time, each cantata is divided into several sections: an instrumental introduction and a succession of arias performed by soloists or chorus.

On this occasion, Vox Musicalis adds the invaluable participation to the organ of the prestigious totanero pianist Juan Miguel Murani.

Likewise, it has the collaboration of the Department of Culture of the City of Totana, which has framed the concert within the program of cultural activities held on the occasion of the Centennial of the Concession of the Title of City to Totana.
